Global English School is committed to providing a quality education in an English language environment. Classes are taught with a language ratio of 80% English and 20% Thai. Students are expected to learn core subjects such as Math and Science, and the majority of their other classes, in English. Therefore students need to have a high working knowledge of the English language to be able to understand the teacher, understand concepts being presented, participate in class, and complete homework assignments.
We understand that not all applicants have the same level of English ability. Because English is essential for success at G.E.S., we provide a program designed to help students develop their English language ability to a level where they can be successful in their core classes.
We call this program English Language Workshop, abbreviated to ELW. Students are taken out of Thai classes for 2 hours each week to receive additional English instruction. ELW focuses on developing students' English ability in four areas: Reading, Writing, Listening, and Speaking. Teachers work to develop a friendly and comfortable teaching atmosphere, where students can practice and develop their English skills. Enrollment in ELW is decided by an English language test, administered by an ELW teacher, which all applying students are expected to take. You can schedule an appointment to take the English language test by contacting the school office.
