ACTIVITIES
OVERNIGHT CAMP
Every year, all students have the opportunity to participate in an overnight camp. This event is a major part of the school’s effort to meet the requirements of a class focusing on outdoor / survival skills & caring for the environment that takes place in other Thai schools. This is an awesome opportunity for building relationships between students and teachers outside the classroom in a more relaxed setting. The camps are split into two groups described below.
A. Lower Primary OC takes place on the school property. It begins on a Friday after school and ends at lunch time on the following Saturday.
B. Upper Primary OC takes place off campus. Students and teachers leave after school on a Thursday and return on Saturday.

FIELD TRIPS
At GES, we encourage the teachers to give their students the opportunity to explore learning outside of the classroom. Teachers have the opportunity to bring students to universities, museums, zoos, parks, and other learning institutions in order to blend teaching methods and provide hands-on learning.
ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS
Global English School teaches students to pursue excellence. Our desire is to offer a competitive learning environment that is comparable with area schools. We encourage our students to participate in academic competitions in areas such as speech, computer, and music as well as district-wide competitions in the core subjects.
PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES
Parent/Teacher Conferences are held in August and January. The purpose of the conference is to update parents on their child’s progress in school. These conferences are a unique opportunity for parents and teachers to communicate openly through a translator.
AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES
GES hopes to develop well-rounded students and is willing to go the extra mile to provide extracurricular programs that enhance our academic and physical education curriculum. Programs include one-on-one tutoring with teachers, Homework Help, Badminton Club, Soccer Club, Basketball Club, Chinese language course, Thai dance and Taekwondo classes.
Tutoring is an after school program where a teacher can work with students one-on-one. This time is beneficial for the teacher as well as the student allowing for the teacher to focus his/her energy on just one student and the student to feel comfortable taking his/ her time to work through challenging assignments with the aid of a teacher.
Homework Help is an afterschool program offered to help students that do not have help from their parents. Both English and Thai teachers offer students help on their homework during this time.
Chinese language course is taught by a Chinese native teacher and gives students the opportunity to develop in a third language during their time at GES.
Soccer, Basketball, and Badminton club provide opportunities for students to participate in competitive sports while building relationships with their peers and teachers.
Takwando and Thai dance are taught by professionals on campus after school throughout the week. These classes are fun and physically challenging for students and teachers alike.
